Finding your wedding dress is one of the most important steps of wedding planning. Your wedding dress is a detail you’ll never forget, and you want one that will bring out your natural beauty perfectly. To make the most of your bridal shopping experience, we’re sharing our best list of what to bring so you come fully prepared:
Inspiration
Bring images of dresses you liked on Pinterest or in magazines! Showing your consultant the types of dresses you like will help her better know which dresses to bring for you to try on—meaning you’ll be trying on dresses better suited to your style the second you begin your appointment.
An Open Mind
Even though we want you to come with an idea of what you want, be open to other styles as well! You might try on a dress you expect to love, and realize you aren’t crazy about the silhouette, or maybe a detail you loved in photos you don’t in real life. For this reason, stay open to trying on a few dresses out of your comfort zone—at the least, it’ll help you be more secure in your decision!
Underwear/Accessories
Two small details that matter at your appointment are underwear and accessories! For underwear, wear something comfortable in either white or nude so that you’re not distracted by your underwear while trying on dresses. With accessories, we by no means expect you to have them all picked out—you don’t even have the dress yet!—but we do recommend bringing any you know you’ll wear on your wedding day, such as family heirlooms, your something borrowed, or anything you know you want. This way, you’re sure your dress works with the accessories perfectly.
